How bad of an idea would it be to find a way to put 33-35 inch tires on a coachman clipper? My thought would be to modify the fenders to keep a lower center of gravity, maybe one inch block on the springs.. tires on this unit at 29 inches tall
Pardon my ignorance.
I'm 3 weeks into owning my second JLUR. I had one in 2018 and loved it but it wasn't practical for my job. Cut to the modern day, i just picked up a '21 JLUR and i'm going to equip it for overlanding. I enjoyed my last one with 2.5 inches of lift and 37s, but with...
Just got back into the jeep world. Previously I owned a 2018 JLUR when they first hit the market. I put a RC 2.5 inch spacer lift with 37s on it until I figured out what quality lift i wanted. It rode amazingly (other than steering) I ended up getting rid of the truck and here I am again
this...
so you pay *1800 for a steel bumper group and you get "winch ready" front steel that requires a $300 winch plate and (if you want to protect it) another $2-300 for a bull bar to protect the winch.
and now you're still left with garbage recovery hooks on the front.
Why not just sell the bumper...
Found a 2021 JLUR with 7k miles, leather, soft top, tow package, LED lights, cold weather package..
but I can’t wrap my head around this top..
not sure if it’ll sell with this color scheme, might offer
2k under with the thought that I’ll buy a new top
54k.. what do you guys think?
So I owned a 2018 JLUR with the 3.6. I put 2.5 inches of lift and a light weight wheel/tire combo (37s)
It still got decent mpg, rode well, and still had plenty of power. My job required me to have a truck so i had to get rid of it. Cut to present day, i miss my jeep and i dont need my truck...
So my understanding is that i cannot get the 7500 tax incentive for a used jeep. This jeep has less than 400 miles on it and they are considering it used. Will I not qualify?
#1 I’m not doing the reinforcement.. I see too many people going crazy with their Jeep with 37s in Moab and zero damage yet..
Is anyone running the rough country plate? According to RC it allows enough space for 35s without touching the bumper.. but would a 37 clear while touching the bumper...

sometimes the world just unfolds for u.. I have been debating for months on whether I want 35s or 37s for my JLUR.. was also sold on MTs but a little nervouse.. and then good old Facebook marketplace.. I had to drive 2.5 hrs to Atlanta to pick up a puppy this morning and then yesterday this pops...
Hey guys, will be selling my JLUR KO2s tires and/or wheels with less than 1000 miles on them..
I see people selling them all the time. How are u guys shipping them? Or is it locals that are buying them. Am I missing something? I would assume shipping would be 100+
so I’m back in forth on whether I want 35s or 37s for my JL rubicon... everyone is telling me to go with 35s on my first Jeep..
Yet I haven’t found one person on the site that regrets 37s.. but I see daily where someone gets 35s and wishes they were 37s
So... anyone regret their 37s?
First time jeep owner
Background: always been a truck driver.. last vehicle was a 2006 z71 that I had its entire life of 12 years and 210k miles.. it got 13mpg and I didn’t give a damn
