Hello, After careful inspection, I finally spotted the issue-- it was the o-ring out of place. Put it back together (oil oring and threads, then 16 ft-lbs twist) and washed the hello out of things. So far, so good. Again, thanks to all for the comments.
Thanks for the comments. I will look at the cap again, before digging in deeper looking for a leak in the base or canister. I didn't have obvious oil around the cap area. Just the pool of oil at the base of the canister.
I did the oil change, and torqued the filter nut to 16 (not even 18)...
I finished a couple hundred mile trip yesterday, and when I stopped, oil was dripping off my 2019 JLU Sahara (3.6 engine, auto trans). The volume of oil raised concerns that I had run it low, and the dipstick showed low but not out of oil. There had been no engine warning light or other...
Can' t relate to complaints about the V6. For me, it runs 70-80 up either side of Floyd Hill, up Georgetown hill and the eastbound tunnel approach from Silverthorne, without pushing the top of the RPM range. No power/rpm issues off road. Must be the automatic transmission.
Reluctantly went to the auto, and now think its great. I compare the experience compared to other auto transmissions in cars and a Bronco I had as the difference between a mere automotive auto and a hydrostatic drive in the combine or tractor, loader, skidsteer, etc-- put it in gear, and its...
Hello-
Getting ready to put a Rubi take-off on my 2019 JLU Sahara, including the longer FCA LCAs. From reading the forum, I can't tell if I need to round up a coil spring compressor. Most references I have read talk about blocking the frame, using two jacks, and ratchet straps. Should I get a...
Oil and gas leases generally are not exclusive so I doubt offroading is seriously endangered. Even so, now is the time to act. I have not looked this request up, but SOP is:
this request for lease should be in a review and comment period. Comments can argue its the wrong thing at the wrong...
I have been using Kyocera Duraforce Pro phones for quite a few years. Started with the flip phone, now have a two year old smart phone, and a new (I think its a E6810, MAYBE aka "XV") on the shelf I haven't fired up. Happy with Kyocera, but I am one of those people who think of cell phones as a...
Thanks. Still quite interested but my scheduled trips to Denver suddenly changed, and I no longer know when I will be down. Pretty sure this week is out; next week is definitely out- overbooked in Denver. I will have to check back later and see if you have them. Thanks for your patience.
Great, I am doing some stuff on my jeep tomorrow and will check my spring numbers, etc and get back to you. Thanks for the response. I go by Sheridan and Wadsworth on I70 and on 6th pretty regularly, and can get around pretty well.
Hello,
Do you still have these? What general area of Denver if I wanted to pick up? Paypal or cash OK?
BTW, I am in Grand County and get to Denver about once per week.
What is so special about the Rubicon suspension, compared to the Sahara suspension? I mean, there ought to be benefit in traction, ride, ride height, body height, or something included in the price difference. THANKS!!!!
