  1. New Yorkers w/ 16+ speed tickets to get limiter device installed

Only real solution to the problem. But the camera needs to be filming so it can be video, not still shots, and needs to be linked directly to Youtube.
  2. Twelve for Twelve Number 8 Duck

We still had the Jeeps (M151) in my Army unit in Germany until 1989. We swapped out for Humvees. Some units had them into the 90's. It served for over 30 years (M151 variants) 60's to 90's. I'd have to say, that constitutes "military heritage".
  3. Stellantis Destroyed Jeep - Engines Failing, Dashboards Dying, Owners Furious!

This ^^^^. Standard practice. You agree to a diagnostic charge prior to it being inspected. Almost never gets charged unless like he said, rodent damage, road hazard damage, damage your kids caused that you aren't telling us about, etc.
  4. Would you buy another Stellantis product after the 4xe fiasco?

I've been telling people for years, as soon as these things were available with the 25 year rule, this makes SO MUCH more sense than a stupid side by side. We still might end up with one. Having owned a Suzuki Sidekick and a Geo Tracker, I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat over a crazy...
  5. Classic Style Grille (from Distinction Applied) swap on my 2025 Willys

Still like the Willys black grill, liked the outgoing Rubicon black grill also.
  6. Now Tuning all 18-26 JL 3.6 Models - eTorque Included now!

Don't forget stop/start automatically defaulting to off, manually selectable back on. My wife loves that feature.
  7. Now Tuning all 18-26 JL 3.6 Models - eTorque Included now!

I feel that the gear spacing is actually pretty decent with 4.10's and 33's, especially when compared to 3.45 (that was horrible). I feel that with the 34's we're running, we really needed to change to 4.56 with the stock tune. I really didn't want to regear again, it's money for parts and...
  8. Now Tuning all 18-26 JL 3.6 Models - eTorque Included now!

Going to just interject this, but the mapping for crawl speeds is HUGELY improved on ours. You can let it poke itself along with no throttle input, roll a little throttle in to speed up, then roll off it and crawl again. 1st and 2nd gear, the stall resistance is improved to the point that...
  9. Cold Air Intake hogwash

Quality over quantity. It's an air column issue, the reason I changed the inlet is because of what I learned about the nature of how air moves through a system. I've got a lot of time with a flow bench and high performance powertrains. The stock inlet tube is not a good design, I'll just...
  10. Cold Air Intake hogwash

The Mishimoto drops a much larger filter area filter into the OEM lower with a new lid that seals the filter at the filter outlet. It's using the OEM inlets. It has a nice, silenced tube for the inlet that mounts at the factory locations but has a better turn into the throttle without the...
  11. Cold Air Intake hogwash

On the 3.6, there is a difference in power, you can see it on a dyno graph or when tuning. But, it's in the upper RPM range where the stock filter starts to restrict a bit. It's 8-12 HP, but it's there. Normal driving, we saw a little bump in economy with ours. I'm blaming the better...
  12. Wrangler Rewind Edition (April 12 drop) revealed by TFL

Jeep was all about the sticker packages in the 80's also.
  13. New Jeep 2.0T Hurricane 4 has complex tech [Engineering Explained]

Ford Super Duty. 6.8L, simple fuel injection, simple engine, plenty of power. If you need more power, upgrade to the 7.3 version. We've been shopping trucks a bit the last year, and this is the only one that I'd consider at this point. Just the XL version with the 6.8. Heck, it has...
  14. New Jeep 2.0T Hurricane 4 has complex tech [Engineering Explained]

And people will want to run this on 87 octane. Volvo 2.0 T6 in 2016: 306 HP, 295 TQ in normal calibration. 324HP 354TQ Polestar software. Full warranty coverage. Ford Mustang 2.3L performance package, 332HP 350TQ, or 310/350 in base trim. My last Mustang PP 2.3 made 340HP/378 TQ at the...
  15. The wife's son wants this ....... Deal or no Deal?

Sorry, my wife had two (75 SR5 sport coupe, 78 SR5 liftback) that they purchased new and she dearly loved both of them. She drove the '78 with optional oil apparently, and sold it with 150K on it back in the late 80's. The guy that bought it (acquaintance of hers) drove it into the weeds...
  16. Wrangler reliability by years & generations: JK vs. JL comparison (by Autoblog)

Just ended up with that happening last year. I now get a little disability every month but didn't need the hearing aids. They consider my loss "VA nominal" meaning I have hearing loss but not bad enough to need the hearing aids. Permanent tinnitus for the last 35 years, nothing to be done.
  17. Wrangler reliability by years & generations: JK vs. JL comparison (by Autoblog)

Actually, they list the JK generation as 2013-2018. They just list the 2017 as the sweet spot. And they just built the 2017 into the 2018 model year, it's not like it had new features. More of a "late 2017" model than a new model.
