We just finished up our 2021 JLU Sahara 6 Spd Build and had to get some trail runs in while in Missouri. Nothing too technical, but enough for a short shakedown run.

  • 37x13.5 Toyo Open Country R / T Pro
  • 17x9-38 KG1 Forged Rush Beadlock wheels
  • JKS 3.5" J-Krawl kit with Fox 2.0
  • shocks Adams front drive shaft
  • 5.13 Yukon Gears
  • D30/D44 axles

I'd love some feedback on the tires and the Dana 30 up front. Does the axle have any supporting mods?
Nothing as of now. Just gearing, so far has been pretty solid. Previously had 35's, then another set of 37s before this and held up pretty well.

As far as the tires go, just turned 2k on them, a little noisy but not a crazy hum like you'd expect and honestly nothing a little music wont cover up. They performed great on the slick rock on the trail although not a super aggressive stair set. Will have a few more trips this year to a local offroad park to really test it and hopping to make it to cades cove this year while at Smokey Mountain Jeep Invasion.

Nice build! Really liking the bead lock rings too. How does the 5.13's feel with larger/heavier tire?

Turns them effortlessly. Getting roughly 15.5-16.5 mpg through town, drops a little on the highway but not a ton.

1st gear will just roll out at around 6 miles per hour.

Very interesting. How many miles on the axle with 37" tires?
