Yup! Back in the day I used to walk it w/ my Long Arm TJ on 33's, rear ARB. I got this and got it on 37's and thought it would be easy mode- NOPE.Ah good old F road. That gatekeeper has gotten me every time. It’s our four-door wheelbase with our crappy break over. There’s one other tough ledge on that trail. It took me a few tries, but I got over. that gatekeeper though I’ve had to winch every time.
Another quick update:
Attempting to rebuild the track bar- it had other plans. the Set screws that hold the retainer were rust-welded in place and rounding out. So, I had to drill them out and tap them. Shoved it back in the jeep, torqued it down, and drove it to get the 10-24 tap needed at lunch today. This will be an upcoming weekend day project.
This morning, I took it for inspection: FAILED. The tie rod end is loose. I never would have found that out if they didn't fully lift it off the ground. Thankfully, Rock Auto is going to Warranty it for me. That's the Mevotec TTX one installed in fall of 2024, and it will be here Wednesday, and installed by the weekend, ready to try again next week.
When it rains, it pours.
