Hello all...back from a week in Iowa (work trip) and get Roxy from the dealership yesterday. Even though they had her for 5 days, they couldn't get everything done to it. One thing was the small disk on the top...they didn't get it in yet. They also didn't install the seat cover because they ran out of time (again...they had her for 5 days......). So...whenever the parts all arrive, they will take for a day, give me a loaner, and get everything done that needs to be done. They again told me that the deadspot in the steering is a "Jeep Thing"...wtf...I seriously cannot believe that they can't/won't get rid of the deadspot. So now I have two choices...reach out to JeepCares and see what they tell me...or...tighten the steering gearbox myself. I really don't want to adjust the steering gearbox because I really don't know what I am doing...but if that solves my problem...well...I might have to do it.
Too much crapola for me to "like" your post. Hope you get some better results soon.

and welcome back!

Disk on the top? And did they not do the steering stabilizer recall?

On the soft top, there are disks on the struts at the first pivot point. The disks are supposed to keep the top from getting pinched in that spot. One side broke in half and fell off.

I had the steering damper replaced about a month ago. Had the track bar replaced about a month before that...

OH...the service manager told me something interesting...I haven't tried it because I have a manual and I almost never use my Start/Stop because it requires me to shift into neutral and let the clutch out while stopped...anyway...he said that the Start/Stop is disabled when you tow a trailer or have trailer lights plugged in. He said that you can use one of those trailer light testers to accomplish the same thing. If true...it is very interesting.

Oh, I cannot stand the Sea Pigeons. That's a swing and a miss ;)

(My team is 0-4, however. My Director has resorted to calling me Owen at work)
