:giggle: i was a bit taken back as i was with my 18 year old daughter and have never been carded for a movie before. The guy (which i actually knew and he was younger) by us kinda raised a stink because he didn't get carded and was going to the same movie.

it was new to me. i thought you just had to be 18 for 'R' rated (we saw IT, Chapter 2), not 21.

Yeah, as far as I know you need to be 18 to see R rated movies. Not that it stopped me when I was 17 but..... I never got carded walking in to see Terminator 3.

I Had a similar thing happen when I was trying to buy a can of soda.

Mello Yello had just put out a new design on their cans. Nothing unusual, they do this every once in a while. Their target demographic is Blue Collar Southerners, and the old can had a real-tree style camouflage pattern.

I put this down on the counter, and the 16 year old almost panics. "I can't ring up alcohol," she says....

It took me a few seconds to realize she was talking about my soda can... I happily explained to her it was not any any shape or form alcoholic in nature and it was just like Mountain Dew, and perfectly legal for her to ring it up on her register.
