I got the Quadratec stubby for the JL and I love it. It was inexpensive but it's nice and beefy. I don't have a garage so I had a shop install it. They said the only issue was getting the fog lights installed. It was a PITA because of the way they're mounted, but other than that it bolted right up. I think it looks kinda fantastic, ESPECIALLY for the price (about $330):

Ok, here's one clean parking lot shot:

I am really considering this bumper, but I was concerned about the weight and if it had any skids to protect the swaybar motor. Can you comment on those 2 concerns.

Any issues with the EAG tire carrier? I read some reviews that finish wasnt so great and they squeak after a while

It's been a couple of months now. Finish is still perfect and no squeaks or rattles.

Not a fan of the EAG third brake light bracket and will be replacing it with the LOD wheel mounted bracket at some point. However, that's not part of the bumper so no issue.

I'm not worried about weight. The stock steel bumper probably weighs close to the same, and the bumper and winch (with synthetic line) together are maybe 150lbs. That's not enough to bother me.

As for sway bar disconnect motor protection, I don't care about that either. I don't think any thrown road-rocks could really damage it, and it's so far up and under that if I hit it with the trail (if that's even possible), I REALLY screwed up and need to take a different line.

I've done 9 easy to moderately-difficult trails this year and have had zero issues. If those are your only concerns I would say go for it!
