Kinda pricey for what they are but you know, peace of mind and shit.
I hear ya. Might upgrade to your little bracket setup one of these days; your wiring looks much cleaner than mine does.

And sold! :piggybank:
Also, if you bought the same cable as Mike it has a 3/8" terminal on it. I ended up picking up a 4awg cable with 5/16" terminals. The boots might be a tight on the 3/8" terminals. The 5/16" also fit the isolator a bit better.

I'm going to measure some things this weekend and reevaluate. :like:

If you look at the top of the isolator (looking down at the studs) you'll notice there's a plastic circle in the middle with 4 plastic protrusions (if you will) almost forming an X around the circle. The 5/16" terminals will nestle down in those Vs formed at each stud. It's an anti-rotation feature so that if the nut ever loosens the cable won't rotate around and touch something it shouldn't. I'm probably explaining it poorly, but if you look I think you'll get what I'm saying.

All well and good, but my cables are mounted at 90 degrees from that orientation (as necessitated by the orientation of the solenoid itself):

This setup might hamper that safety feature...

Ring terminals for the Aux and ground wires will be added next time I see @obwahn I think.

Yeah, that's the only way it can be done with the isolator mounted in that way. I think it'll be fine, just make sure the nuts are good in tight. The worst thing would be for one of the positive fat dogs (mostly the always hot one) to rotate over and contact the negative stud of the activation circuit.

You're making me want to stick a fuse in-line now. :headbang:

(I know you're counting Jeeps at this point, but maybe you'll see this tomorrow)

The terminals on the winch cables are 5/16" so the boots will fit those just fine. I'm using the second one for the positive cable to the winch (the other stud on the isolator.)
