Hey Mike, (@obwahn)

What gauge wire (AWG) did you guys conclude are the 40amp aux switch wires? I found one post on JLWF that said they're 8, but that don't sound right to me.
No friggin way it's 8. Here's what I bought for terminal ends. You'll need two reds and one blue. The blue is needed in order to fit on the ground post.

If I recall the photos from both you and Chris' install, you guys just wrapped the copper from the aux switch wires to the 500amp isolator studs, or did you use ring terminals there as well?

Chris had to wrap since we didn't have any ring terminals at the time. I used the ring terminals. That's the only place you need the ring terminals and you don't need any butt connectors. Unless you are thinking of something else that I'm not aware of.

I try not to buy anything on Sunday, not for religious reasons but due to businesses usually running a skeleton crew and not the most experienced. If I do have to buy something on Sunday I’m easy on the people who have to work on a weekend when I have the day off.
Hey! Don't be dis'n Skippy! lol

That's not a bad policy, however, Jon was there the other day when I purchased the tires and didn't speak up then. Jon was looking for an argument I'm fairly certain. Also, I expect better from Costco. It's one of the reasons I shop there a lot.

Edit: Jeanine knew how to take care of a member.

However I hope Jon picked up some experience out of all of this

Yah, and I'll admit, I might've become a little over-animated because it seems like Jon kept looking for new reasons not to install the tires. I conceded to him that "If Costco's policy is the 3% thing, then I'll take my business elsewhere" but "You should've told me that when I bought the tires the other day."
