Which is fine if you want the look, feel and use of Mopar. But if you don’t- you look to the open market. I wouldn’t say 99% is garbage, but I also don’t buy from non-reputable places. It’s a Jeep, after all, so modding is kinda with the territory.

I have more than a couple aftermarket parts and I agree with you.

However some of the aftermarket stuff i got i had to purchase a few of the same thing made by different companies to get the best product. For example my exhaust system. Went through a couple Borlas and finally ended up with a Magnaflow.

So yes, I catch your drift.

Two things I've did this weekend.

1. Install a hitch safe. (super cool).

2. Next, Full kicker upgrade (2 speakers in dash, 2 in soundbar, 1 - 300 Watt amp (under rear seat), 500 watt Type R speaker in the Q bomb box that is fully water resistant. This blows away the stock alpine. Also added a base knob up front. Quick connect disconnects in a second.This is NOT spliced into the pillar B speakers wires. This is wired into the rear output of the head unit. (fabtech shelf was installed late last year)

Put the JL in its first Jeep show. Great turnout, over 200 Jeeps were registered, unregistered parking lot was a show by itself.

I got Rubi topless and then put the soft top on. Hopefully, it was a pita only because it was the first time and hadn’t been stretched. The back window was the worst to stretch and get into place, but it’s there. Now just need a couple of warmer days to stretch it out. The hardtop is in its place for the summer, just put a couple of straps just as backup to the lift.

What makes you say "blows away stock alpine"?

You have 4 less speakers than stock.

My "stock" Alpine bumps...and I've had systems all my life. For 1 sub and 8 speakers it's pretty impressive. And I lose no cargo space. Oh, and it's also water resistant.

Hitch safe is pretty cool!! I like the cover, I wonder how the mechanisms will hold up to condensation or moisture.

Got these delivered and installed today, very easy install, plug and play. They have halos but I didn't mess with that wiring today, just taped off the wire so it didn't cause issues. They're much brighter than the stock halogens and are 9 inch lights, there's no bracket to install. Now I just have to wait for the rest of my led lights to arrive. I ordered stock led taillights, revolver fog lights, and switchback LEDs for the fenders.

The Jeep hood would be very expensive and hard to package for shipping without the factory BOX, even then unless you were repainting the finish could get damaged, which is why companies like Black Mountain who also sells hoods including the Rubi hoods will not ship painted hoods.

I've heard both at all levels. It's not even a comparison for me. May not be as sleek as stock (meaning built in) but sound wise, absolutely no comparison.
Dont really care about the lost space. I make up the space with the shelf.

You may be right on the sub sound being you have that cargo storage plate over it, so with the tailgate closed the bass will bounce and reverberate much more. Like a box inside of a box.

Is your box ported?

And yes, of course the amount of speakers makes a difference. If your comparing wal mart speakers vs high quality then the amount of speakers doesnt matter.

But comparing high end speakers systems against each other the amount absolutely matters...more speakers = much better surround sound with much more fullness.

Washed it tried out the foam cannon.. Probably too much soap, but was a PITA to get all soap out of the soft top.
