As long as it’s factory installed, the switches work and are "programmed" through any of the Uconnect enabled radios as mentioned previously (I.e., how the switch works, is powered and whether or not it resumes after start up).Im a bit confused, i thought the aux switches were already set up and ready to go. The wires are by the battery. What or why do you have to go into the dealer? Do you really have to have the switches activiated in order for them to work?
There are two hi amp and two low amp wire sets next to the battery and a duplicate set under the glovebox. The two thicker gauge wires are the higher amp wires. You only need to connect one of the thick or thin wires (depending on amperage) to the positive lead on your accessory and the other to negative lead on the accessory to the body ground (two ground binding posts are located next to the aux wires).
After connecting everything to the leads that correspond to the desired amp switch (1 and 2 are high amp and 3 and 4 are low amp), engage the switch and the accessory works.
