For those with the Rusty’s winch plate, does it sit level when mounted? Mine is angled forward. Is this correct?

They must have changed the design since I bought mine. I don’t remember mine being on an angle and here is a pic from the instructions:

I just put mine in about 10 days ago and don’t recall an angle

Mine had no angle, fit level. I don’t think the angle is correct. When I installed my plate, there was a little “slop” in the plate. I made sure it was level before tightening the bolts

I would contact Rusty’s 4 wheel products. Seems like there are two versions of this. I didn’t take a picture of the plate before I put the winch and bumper on.

Thanks for the input everyone! Everything on the box and instructions says 2018 JL. But I think I will give Rusty’s a call before I get too far into it. The instructions do show the flat version.

Let us know. Now I’m curious.

I just called Rusty's and the angle is correct. The plate has been updated to allow use with the Warn Zeon. Hopefully it still works with my Smittybilt.

Works just fine. I installed one on it just a few weeks ago. That’s how I know. Put the control box on before installing the winch.

Is that the Quadratec Q-Performance Stealth Winch? It looks like a perfect fit!

Yes. I love it. Really have not had a chance to use it yet, but it fits perfectly in the OEM bumper using Rusty’s winch plate. Just a note, my plate does not have the angle to it referred to in this thread.

The only issues I think is you have limited access to the spool in case you need to replace the line, and I don’t know how hard it is to remove the front grill if you need access (might have to take the bumper/winch offf for that.

The only real gripe I have is the hand controller seems a bit flimsy. Very light weight plastic. The wireless function is really cool though. Definitely recommend this winch.
