:lipssealed:
That’s exactly what I was wondering.

:whew:
I hadn't fired a firearm in 30 years. I associated them with hunting and I wasn't the type. Liam got a 1911 and we brought it to the woods the other day. First handgun fired ever and I had to have one. Nothing sinister going on, just felt cool. Sits in its case at home, unloaded.

Nothing wrong with that. I've never cared for hunting either, but I don't have a problem with those that do. But I really do enjoy shooting. Not only does it require some skills, it's just plain fun.

hmmm, do you do heel toe shifting when you do downshift?
I know it's better not to down shift in the turn so you don't upset the balance, but I've not been that close to the bleeding edge that I've had to worry about that. That said, I don't generally brake in the turn either, so don't need to "heel/toe" my blips.

When I do, however, it's more like center of foot on brake with tip of shoe blipping the throttle on the Jeep. On the Subaru I can span the two peddles with the forefoot so I brake with the big toe side and blip with the little toe side. :dunno:

On dirt I brake with the left foot and throttle control with the right. ;)

I'm sure a bit of track training would have come in handy, but instructors cost money and I was just a poor boy in a poor family.

No judgment! I may own a gun or two...
Just the wording of your post was intriguing.

So what did ya get?

Just a Rock Armory standard 1911 A1, Liam has an American Tactical 1911 Military.
