Hmm.Good morning.
Just to chyme in on the "Instant Pot vs. Crockpot" topic. I have both and I don't think the Instant Pot is a complete replacement for a slow cooker. For instance, I'd still do any kind of soup/stew/sauce in the slow cooker especially if it has any kind of noodles or soft vegetables in it. The Instant Pot is great for cooking things quickly but it will turn vegetables and noodles to mush very quickly. Recipes often call for you to cook the meat for a certain amount of time, then depressurize and add vegetables and then bring it back up to pressure/temperature. It's kind of a hassle. I also think the slow cooker is still better for meats that take a long time to break down such as pork. I still make carnitas in the slow cooker.
Okay, it must be important to check whether all instant pots have the same settings.
Mine has a slow cooker function, with low, medium and high settings. I have far better temp control in it as a slow cooker than I’ve ever had in my crock pots.
