So this evening we were treated to a sauna (prounounced sow-na. No arguments. It’s. Finnish. Learn Finnish before you have any chance of discussion on this matter). at the neighbor’s house. For those that have never experienced an authentic wood stove sauna with steam, I am sorry. It is one of the most revitalizing/relaxing things on the face of the earth.

Well here’s the reason. The propane furnace was necessary. Apparently so was the central air. To add the heat pump option was only slightly more expensive and works as a handy option during the inbetween seasons. (It’s the same unit as the ac. Just spins backwards.)
I used to have a heat pump in my first college apartment. No emergency heat hooked up though. (Yay college housing!)

We had a windstorm blow through in January...70 mph gusts with -25F wind chills. Heat pump kicked on, stayed on for 8 hours...the thermostat temp kept falling. :asshat:

Eventually settled at about 60 degrees inside. That place was so drafty, I watched the fan over my stove spin in reverse with the wind. :lipssealed::lipssealed::lipssealed:

Oh no. Sounds like a terrible combination for you. Be careful!
Ice: mastered. Made it safely yesterday. The rain means there is none to step on today. It's revealed the leaves I didn't deal with prior to the snow though.

Yesterday, on my way home from family xmas, I had to travel on the highway through Toronto. I had something new to be grateful for.

I'm grateful that the person who was following too closely in the rain had quick reflexes. Because when he finally did come to a stop, he was on the shoulder of the highway, and his driver door was next to my front passenger. My kid and I would likely have been fine, but Gamora wouldn't have walked away from that one quite so easily.

Scary moment.
