The sad state of our healthcare systemI know this is a happy post, but it makes me sad.
That’s so much money....

9:36 now. We are south of Fort Francis. So central time zone. So, it should be the same. And We switch at similar times. It’s currently 10:32 here.
But I’m guessing you are south of the part of Ontario that’s in another time zone. Are you south of Fort Frances? They are Central Standard Time.
We switch to daylight savings time just before St. Patrick’s Day and just after Halloween.
That’s so frustrating. At least they aren’t also jerks, I guess??I should have known better than to jinx myself like that
So I was told "Just show up any day this week..." <---Red Flag #1
I left work two hours early (1:30 PM) so that I could get to the shop with ample time before they closed. No dice. Their glass guy is offsite, he was booked solid for the rest of the afternoon.
I just got the call earlier that day that my inspections in the mold-infested tunnel of doom () are set to resume Monday. They'll be going on for 2-3 weeks; I need to get this glass replaced this week.
So, today took the morning off and dropped Gabby off at the shop (which opens at 8AM, one hour AFTER my "be at your desk" time) - they've prioritized my job first, so they should be calling in the next hour or two. Hopefully, we get this done today.
I think this warranty work has cost me nearly $1000 in unworked time (i.e. PTO)
To be fair, the people at the shop have been quite accommodating despite the saga's evidence to the contrary. Poor communication is the root of this issue, followed by bad luck. But! They seem to care.
Better news! You guys are gonna be so jealous. I'm shopping for health insurance for Gail. ya baby! I always used to have to get it thru IBM and that coverage would be around $780/month for the high deductible. Now that I can shop around, looks like I could go thru MVP for less than $500 with a low deductible. Me likes.
Yep...and for it to change, you have to convince a lot of very old, rich white guys to part with large sums of money. The sad state of our healthcare system

SameWe actually bought the Blu-Ray version...got sick of CBS butchering it and showing commercials every 157 seconds.![]()
No, they're being nice about it. A lot of the delay was because the glass itself was back ordered, then had to be ground shipped with special care from wherever it was made. That’s so frustrating. At least they aren’t also jerks, I guess??
Thx RA.I know this is a happy post, but it makes me sad.

There are better odds for the General Forums coexisting together in peace and harmony.![]()
Sadly, you’re correct. Just for the girls and me, it’s $2400+ a monthYep...and for it to change, you have to convince a lot of very old, rich white guys to part with large sums of money.

I'm sorry, but the safe word is unpronounceable in English! (Or French)

I will admit, I was a little late to the "Beat up on RA because she didn't get the joke" party but hey....

So, it’s all fun and games for you today?Late breaking news! Selected MVP for Gail. Now to figure out dental. oh, and had to call the previous insurance to let them know to NOT renew for 2019. Turns out that deadline was Nov 16th. oops. He was still able to cancel for next year, phew. Off to figure out dental.......
Just imagine how healthcare costs would change if them idiots in the government had to pay the same as we pay!Sadly, you’re correct. Just for the girls and me, it’s $2400+ a month
