if I want to be able to mount that monitor to my desk in a way that allows me to move it to the side if I’m meeting with people, are all mounts and monitors universal?

Not always, but that VE248Q is VESA 100x100 (mm). So you just need something that can do 100x100...

That looks great. Unfortunately, it exceeds my budget for this year. It’s half again the cost of the monitor. (Blame Canada...)

But now I know what to look for, and I can keep my eyes peeled for deals.
