If you tell me the monitor model(s) I can tell you if they're compatible, and what adapter (if any) is needed. Chances are if the monitor has DP or mDP ports then it'll be Mac compatible. The macbook model numbers wouldn't hurt either.
Thanks for coverin my butt bro! Much more complete answer to our Nord'n friend.

My Macbook:
MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017),
1.8 GHz Intel Core i5

I guess thinking one of these. I don't really know anything about monitors, I just know that I'm looking for something that is larger and that is easy on my eyes. I'm looking in this price range (I didn't provide Amazon links, because we always run into problems with Amazon Canada links opening:

Asus Full HD 1080P IPS HDMI VGA Eye Care Monitor, 23", White (VZ239H-W)

ASUS VP228H Gaming Monitor 21.5-inch FHD 1920x1080 1ms Low Blue Light Flicker-Free

or

BenQ 24-inch LED Monitor, 2ms, HDMI (GL2460HM)

Not to trivialize the issue, but the fact that you have had a concussion does not surprise me in the least...:giggle:

Can we hear the story?
:cwl:
Absolutely. Can you be more specific?
Concussion #1, 2 or 3?
:headbang::blush:

Seems like there is always something just waiting to bite us in the ass.
Nice thing is, I know what the price will be more or less. And by then I should have at least 20% to put down on the loan.

That’s what sucks about a lease. At least your payments are low for 2.5 years, though :like:
36 month lease acutally, so 3 years. But you are correct otherwise; that's why I did it.

Both of those mention HDMI, so get the Thunderbolt -> HDMI adapter OB linked. :movember:

Steak though? On one of my recent visits my Mother cooked some cheap ribeye steaks she had in the freezer in the crockpot...delicious!
I'd consider something less grill worthy like ribs or London broil.

Alternatively, I get myself one of those tailgate shelves, a camping stove, and a cast iron pan and make dinner on the spot upon arrival.;)
