So now that I’ve tragicaly been forced to watch as some amazing Jeeps pulled away, with their super nifty (and one especially lovely) drivers, it’s time to share a bit more:

Eve got to utilize her winching prowess twice this trip. One, as y’all may have seen, in rescuing Gabrielle from her precarious perch, and the other, to move a rather sizable fallen tree from blocking the trail. Worked beautifully both times!

The underwear advice was apt for young master Chris: for I think we managed to cause not one, but two instances of soiling. After leaving the mountain, I dragged them to a nice little spot for some hot cider and cider doughnuts. Then took the interstate back to Jedi Mikes. We have been picking at Chris about keeping up (Alex, a woman after my own heart, has a bit of a lead foot much like myself). Shortly after embarking Chris thought it prudent to attempt to flaunt his ability by pulling ahead and almost along side Alex. Seeing this in my rear view, I was compelled by the irresistible impulse to test his resolve, so I got on it a bit, and Alex, ever ready, followed suit. Traffic was heavy (relatively stated) so we weren’t able to go nearly as fast as we would have liked, but it was a quick trip back with perhaps a small bit of speeding involved. Chris did keep up well, to his credit, even though he did say later that he had never achieved 95 mph before.

Side note: I’d love to see more Jeeples come (new and familiar) so that we can continue to rechristen Smuggs trails! Thus far we have “Chris’s Hill”, and “Blanches Bane” (we waffled on the name of the second, but I’ve stamped it). Still seeking to name a fun little hill that I’ve yet to manage to summount with Eve, but I’ve decided that is hers. I am also thinking to name the base of Chris’s Hill as “Wrikkis waiting room”.

I would also add to this already long winded and likely superfluous post: Lydia, you were sorely missed (by some most especially) and mentioned often and with fondness. Sorry that life got in the way of Jeeping this time, but I know you would always be welcomed!

I think if they were mine I would have the rhino lined! They would be tough as nails and a solid color!

Thank you, Mark!!! With as much as I’ve had going on, and the things that will continue & the adventures already planned, I needed a weekend to burrow & settle myself. It was very much what my introverted little self needed. I solemnly swear that I will join future Jeeple weekends!:involve:

I must say to all just what a wonderful Jeepend this was for me. Meeting a couple more of the group face to face was such an honest pleasure. The fact that we share a common interest is just icing on the cake. I am most honored that @CatskillsAlex, @Ralph2018JL, @cedxc2005, and @Blodgetter were here sharing my home and BAMH. I feel blessed to know such a fun group. I'm sad you all have left, but what fond memories.

Thanks again! HUGS!!!!!!
