So, just got a cool email from Payroll/HR...seems they put the wrong salary number in their system when I got hired in February. So, I'm getting a $7k raise, and $4,700 of back pay in two weeks.

Sorry if that comes across as bragging, but I'm super excited - can you say new Jeep parts?

It was the same for me when I got my VA reevaluated and it went up 30% That was a nice increase.

Nice. You probably feel much like I did the day I got a check from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for $10k just out of the blue because I'd had a mortgage with a certain bank 7 years earlier. This bank was one of the primary offenders leading up to the mortgage crisis. It was probably the only time I actually thought "I like the federal government."

I was thinking about that. Hopefully would have caught it come tax season...but lucky for me, payroll was doing an internal audit, and is full of incredibly honest people.
