Since then I've developed Trilithium fusion probes... the Level 12 shock-wave will destroy anything in this system, so none of your decoy planets will do you any good.

Very efficient since the weight falls straight down. That gets you the most direct potential->kinetic energy conversion.

(Means you can throw the fireball REALLY far with a smaller weight)

You'll need a "floating" hinge/pivot for the arm...should be doable.
