I loved that assignment. I think I saw brass from every country there. And protocol was that we had to salute foreign officers. Problem was, I couldn’t tell officers from enlisted with some foreign uniforms, so I got some snickers from foreigners after saluting them. Coolest thing was one time the commander gave me a ride out of the mountain in his Honda Accord when he saw me waiting for the bus.

That is pretty true. Some of the British senior enlisted ranks look a lot like their officer ranks.

Its a good thing I'm on the other side of the state from I-95 now... Having to deal with Maniac Florida and NY Drivers passing through... At least the ones with Ontario and Quebec plates are polite drivers...

In all likelihood, I'll be buying my JL after or near the end of the lease. I'll have to negotiate the high mileage fees out if they exist...but this is a conversation for 32 months from now.

heh, I'm pretty sure they'll cut you some slack if you're outright buying it.
