Joking aside, you do get hit with a fee for going over your mileage on a lease. One of the reasons I never seriously considered one, and a lesson learned (At my brothers expense) when I was younger.

Heh, My 2000 Dakota I paid cash for and kept it for 8 Years or so, but only sold it after I got rear ended and maintenance was just too much work for it to be worth it.
