Well I'm proud of you guys. Luke is getting his vegetables (according to Congress) and you're getting your whole grains (corn from cornmeal) and vegetables.

Yeah, I try not to go overboard when we go there (usually only once a month) but its hard not to.

Not quite...my comment was more about the choice of toppings and crust quality.

Pizza has tomato sauce on it! Tomatoes are a vegetable (fruit actually) so pizza must be a vegetable.

it should encompass much more than that... Honestly more bread than anything with the crust, and I'm not even sure Tomato Sauce would qualify fully as fruit or vegetable. Lots of dairy, lots of meat and if someone allows you to put green peppers you might get half a serving of veggies on the whole thing...

Then there's the OIL that some places soak it in.... you could probably drive a VW a half mile on that....

The top is John's of Bleecker Street - coal fired brick oven. The oven is so hot, that pizza goes in, gets turned, and comes back out in 3 minutes.

The bottom pic is Lee's Tavern on Staten Island. That's "bar pizza" - ~10", goes great with beer.
