oh yeah, I don't think the crossover models in Trailhawk form should be discounted.

Yep, it does have a locking rear diff. And I think Jeep execs have figured out that you can still capitalize on Fuel efficient crossovers, but they still need to have some off road chops... The first Gen Compass sent people into a frenzy with its absolute lack of a trail rated version.
