I honestly am curious about where the line is between Rubis and Sports. I know the differences between the two models, but at what point exactly does a trail become impossible for a Sport but passable for a Rubi? How much edge does a Rubi have over a Sport?
Ground clearance and tires foremost but when the trail gets really ugly, those lockers come in mighty handy I will say.

Not to continue the politics stuff, but maybe they are just more terrified of Pence getting in there.
As I stated before, while his social agenda is (in my opinion) reprehensible, I feel that he would be more consistent and predictable than Trump. Trump's chaotic, irrational behavior is one of the worst characteristics of his presidency. Big, complicated systems (i.e. economies, diplomatic relations) like stability, a quality the current president lacks.

Its more of a blur than a line I think.
Agree. Last weekend, OB definitely had an easier run than I did. Better gearing and more aggressive tires really helped him get up the slopes. But, as he and Mark will attest, I ended up doing just fine after some hiccups.

I was going more along the lines of can you show me a trail that a stock Rubicon can do that a stock Sport cannot? Or is it more that a Sport might have to work a bit harder, but they can follow a Rubicon just about anywhere?

Fact is a sport can pretty much go anywhere a Rubi can, it's just a Rubi can do it easier. In other words, a sport may need to pick an easier line to navigate an obstacle. Lift a sport and put some bigger tires on it and it will hang with a stock Rubi. There is still a penalty in axle ratio and transfer case ratio, and Rubi axles are just a bit beefier.

I was doing a trail the other day that I did with no problem, until I came up on some pretty big rocks that went down into the creek as the only way to cross the water. Now if I had a buddy with a Rubicon I would potentially attempt it with a competent spotter and with my swaybars manually disconnected. no guarantee I would do it without scraping...

The trail I took that picture on, I would have to say without a winch, you would be very hard pressed to get through.
