More or less some of the unsung heroes of the Cabinet members... Defense and State are always in the news (sometimes Homeland Security) but Interior? Transportation? Housing and Urban Development? You hardly hear about them, even though they do exist and are important.

Been there... I got lost on a dirt road in 29 Palms that quickly turned into a 4x4 only trail (In my 4x2 Dakota) and got stuck... got in touch with a guy that had a Supercharged Toyota Tundra 4x4 and he was able to just Yank me right out!

Had a rough day at work today. With the heat, it was bad enough. But apparently my off hand comment this morning led to a shit storm. One of the guys wasn’t on the line at 6 am when we start, and the kid next to my booth said we would be running short without him. I said “well, hope he at least called out, he’s already on probation for attendance, and a no call no show would mean we may be running a man short for a while”

The guy showed up, no big deal and much work was done. Just after lunch he came up and got in my face, saying I was talking shit about him, and that he was going to kick my ass. This is the third time he’s said he was going to do so, each time for something random. So I walked over to my bench, wrote down my phone number, handed it to him and said “any time your feeling Froggy” and went back to work.

Boss came out about an hour later and asked wtf was going on. I told him. Seems the kid was running his mouth this morning and trying to cause some shit, got the other guy all worked up, and both were bitching to everyone else in the line (love my booth, they usually leave me alone).

Moral of the story: Snowflakes suck big floppy donkey wang

Yep. Had a friend with a pickup truck who went into the bush and got stuck. He walked out and got me. We went in together and proceeded to get the Jeep stuck. Both of us walked out.

Went and got a friend with a 4 wheeler and a winch. He tied off and pulled us both out.
