damn! if he had only stopped sooner...
Ya. I'm trying to decide if he is really owed a new Jeep. Yes, it is a major component failure, but it is covered by warranty. Why does everyone jump to "give me a new one" for these failures? Maybe if I was sitting here with Wrikki all busted up, I'd be thinking differently.

Yeah... that should be covered under the drive-train warranty, no charge repair; not a no charge new Jeep.

This is the gamble that you have to take when you buy from a dealership out of state. A local dealer might have easily taken care of this, but since he couldn't get it back to the original dealer he had a much worse experience.
That's why when I bought Veronica I called my local and asked if they would still work with me. They said absolutely, no problem.

True. I'm glad I bought from my local dealer. 10 miles away.

Let me add to this... Sometimes going out of state can save you a lot of money. Trina bought from an NC dealer even though she's in Florida, because her local dealers are stealers...

This guy's local dealer still has to take care of him, they just don't have to offer any priority treatment. Pretty sure they can't just say no if they are an FCA dealer.

At the time I ordered, my local dealer didn't even know what a JL was or how to order one, that's why I got in on the Koons group buys.

That was the best part, having the break in finished by the end of the first day driving back home. Also, that guy Craig at Koon's, his monthly bonus checks for months must have been fat as hell man.

oh yeah, sometimes it takes a while for the sales staff to catch up on new models... I asked about the turbo model and they had no clue it was offered until I said it.
