Last year of high school - when high school took 5 years.

I say ‘ugh’ to all of you!
Is that a Canadian thing? I've never known high school to take 5 years unless, of course, you failed a grade.

High school took 5 years in Ontario from 1921 until 2003. In 2003, they eliminated Ontario Academic Credits (OACs, which were university prep courses), and made high school 4 years for everyone . Quebec has 4 year high school, but then it has CÉGEP before you go on to college/university. Not sure about the rest of the country. I think most have 4 years for high school.

Eewwww. That’s way too much school IMO.
