I have a 2024 Rubicon X with the Xtreme Recon package. This means the jeep comes with 35" tires and slightly "lifted" from the factory. I am 19,000 miles in and over the last 5,000 miles or so, I feel like the rear passenger suspension has gotten incredibly stiff, like jarringly stiff. If I were to hit a pot hole, three corners would feel softer than the rear passenger side. It honestly feels like the rear shock is a solid 2x4 sometimes.

-I have removed the rear shock at the axle and its still under quite a bit if pressure, so it's not blown and not leaking.
-The suspension cycles normally with no binding or noises.
- The entire jeep is 100% factory, no mods.
-Tire pressure is 35 PSI. If I lower the tire pressure anymore, the low pressure light will come on and stay on.
- I took it in for service to have it looked at at the dealership and they said everything is normal. The tech said because of the increased geometry (albeit from the factory lift), the jeep will ride stiffer from other Jeeps. I know for a fact the jeep did not ride that stiff from the lot.

Has anyone encountered a similar feel or issue? I think my next step is to just buy a new shock on my own dime and see what that does.

Hi, I have the same vehicle as yours and would recommend lowering the tire pressure as a starting point. I'm currently running 27 psi cold and seems to be the sweet spot.
As far as the shocks go, I got tired of the front bottoming out constantly, and replaced the shocks with Bilstein 5100's for a 2-3" lift and paired those with the longer Mopar control arms.
Hope this helps.

I wish I could help with the shock questions but what I can tell you is that you can run lower PSI than 35. The light will be on for a few days but it will turn off. I run 28-29 on my XR 35" tires, made a big difference

The warning light will go out? I never knew that. I just started running 28psi today and it does make a difference I also just put the Fox DSC shocks on, not worth the 3 grand. I wish I had tried Rancho’s first oh well live and learn. It does make a pretty significant difference off-road though, but I mostly drive on road, probably most of us do

I run 29 front, 28 rear cold...the light will not go off, I just ignore it for now, got Jscan and Tazer but don't have time yet to turn it off lol.

EDIT, fixed the numbers.

****Update****

Thank you all for the tips. Here is the current situation. I found the part number on the rear shock and tried to buy a new one myself since the dealership "Future Dodge/Jeep of Fairfield, California" refused to look into the problem. Example:

I took it in and the the "tech" reported he cycled the suspension and found nothing wrong. He said the vehicle was lifted and that's why it rides rough. He did NOT test drive the Jeep although I begged him to just drive it and he would see the problem. I even offered to come in and take the tech on a drive myself. The service writer said there is nothing wrong with my Jeep and there is nothing more they could do. I picked my jeep up and told the service writer that I will just buy new shocks myself even though this is clearly under warranty. This Jeep is 100% stock and the tech and service writer did not understand that a Rubicon X came with 35" tires and slightly lifted from the factory.

Now, back to the shocks. I learned the shocks on my Rubicon X are Gladiator part numbered shocks (#68602919AB) and these current shocks my 2024 Rubicon X had were now discontinued . There is a new part number for replacement shocks (#68638610AA). I bought two new shocks myself and switched them out the other day. Once I pulled the "bad shock" off completely, I found it was in fact blown. The shock will compress about an inch then completely lock up. It will not expand and there is fluid sloshing around inside.

Good news is the problem is fixed but now I have to decide if I want to confront the dealership on their negligence or see if they will pay me back for a warranty covered repair.

Tazer or Jscan app with cable and OBDII adapter can adjust your Low Tire Pressure warning to whatever you want.
There has been some debate on this with the general consensus being 25psi at the lowest but a few disputing that. Being curious I texted JSCAN and got this “answer”.

Question regarding setting the lower TPMS threshold on a Jeep JL Wrangler. Tazer documentation says “The Jeeps computer will only recognize a minimum pressure of 25 psi. JSCAN documentation simply says “change this to your liking.” I have read the JL wrangler is “hard coded” to prevent the TPMS threshold from being set below 25 psi without triggering warning lights or messages. What is the minimum TPMS threshold the Jeep JL can be set to using JSCAN without having warning lights or messages. Thank you.

Their very technical fact based reply

“Might be 25 indeed”
