In other news. I heard from the Medicaid lady. Seems they didn't have a copy of the Power of Attorney for Medical for Gail. Guess they never ASKED for it. I sent them one today.

Just sent her a note asking if there is any estimate on when we might hear something. This century would be really nice.

I had a brand new Colorado for a couple weeks and drove it interstate and really liked it a lot. Nearly bought one but the JL had just been announced so went for it instead. Yeah, a four door truck with big open bed in the back, there is no comparison on room vs a 2 door JL. That can’t be too important to you or you’ll be hating it.

Now coming from ten years of driving a Corvette, I was legit LOL at how bad the Jeep is on the road in comparison. Which is (duh) completely unfair and not even worth considering such a comparison for blindingly obvious reasons. Like mocking a vette for how bad it is off road. But it was still funny. Terrible handling, vague steering, no engine muscle, brakes are horrible, ride is worse! So flighty & unstable feeling when strong crosswinds hit, or even just being above 70 on freeway. Actually less comfortable than that Corvette seat which was surprising. Nevertheless..

Its a totally different way of driving, from hugging the road and dodging/threading its imperfections and squirting thru traffic in the car to straight eating up bumps and ruts etc without a care in the world. And you’re slow now, that life is over, let them go screaming past. The first night I had it I randomly turned off the road into a vacant lot and just goofed around in the rocks & weeds, then got right back onto the road like nothing had happened, mud flying everywhere, trivial. So great.

Its ridiculous turning radius is the best I’ve ever experienced in anything, a friend & I were laughing at it during U-turns.. we dubbed it The Forklift.
Being up so high, with great visibility, especially over the shoulder, with that radius, is awesome. Very quiet inside, no wind noise that many have experienced. Thoroughly modern instruments, and with the rear seat removed not too bad at all for gear. I completely love it and haven’t even gone camping or monkeyed with the roof and doors yet.

Saw this post and immediately thought of our resident Vette/Rubi owner...

@obwahn - looks like this guy had to trade one for the other. Poor guy.
