Hello, I just purchase a second JLU, this one is a Rubicon 2.0L turbo. I hooked a Banks Idash on it and wanted to set up some pids to monitor. One of them of course is Boost. As far as I know, these 2.0L should be in the low 20 psi range stock at WOT. So I found the pid for the Boost & Vacuum pid, seems to be working OK, but the max boost is only 8.7PSI, I tried the boost only pid, same thing. But when I use the Manifold absolute pressure pid, the max is around 21 psi.
So either I have to keep it at MAP, or I have a boost leak. lol....

So those that have the 2.0L Turbo setup, and if you have a Bank Idash, would you mind sharing the pids that your using.

I wanted to go with the Boost /Vacuum, manifold intake temperature, engine timing, fuel rail pressure.

I like the 2.0L so far,the only thing,it seems to be struggling a bit at 70 mph in 8'th gear with the 4.10 and the 10 ply 285/70/17 . Average MPG is between 17-18. But from what I seen, it looks like normal numbers. It does pretty much the same MPG when I'm in 7'th gear. Might need to regear to 4.88,tuning and other mild bolt ons would help. But when it downshift to 7'th or 6'th for climbing a steep hill on the highway,no problem staying at 70mph. I'm use to the Diesel,so I'm more than likely asking too much from this little 2.0L lol....

I had drove a few 2.0L Rubicons when I was in Florida and I was doing 21-22 MPG with one of them with 4 ply 285/70/17 tires.Had it for a good week, and also tried another one for a week which had the factory 8-10 ply tires and it had the FAD delete on it and that one was around 19.5 mpg. Both times I was doing mix driving in town and highway up to 75 mph easy.
Thanks for looking.

I’ve got an iDash on each vehicle - 2.0T and EcoDiesel. I was a bit disappointed in the number of things we can see on former. It opens up more if you specify the 3.0 but still not the stuff I want.

I did some testing this morning, and it looks like the 2.0L is running like it should for a stock 4dr Rubicon. It would be the Banks Idash that doesn't measure the boost correctly. I might contact Banks and see if theirs some improvements that can be done for the 2.0L Turbo platform for the more pids options. Because if it would only produce 8 psi of boost at wot,the times would be more than likely way slower.

0-60 mph in 7.37 seconds, 1/4 mile time is 15.55 @ 86.2 mph, 60ft is 2.37.

To compare, my diesel stock,it was 7.00 seconds for the 0-60mph, 1/4 mile was [email protected] mph,60ft was 2.19. 33" tires
With the GDE tuning, it did 5.58 seconds for the 0-60mph, 1/4 mile was [email protected] and the 60ft was 1.91 with the same tires.Had to launch it in 4wd to prevent wheel spin.

More than likely,I will sell the Diesel this summer,my wife is not a fan of it,she likes the 2.0L way better.Mostly because of the colour and options that the Rubicon has VS the Sahara, but she hates it when it does the regen and lots of times when she just about to arrive at work in the morning, so she has to drive around until it's done. lol....For some reason,it happends most of the time when she drives it. hahaha........ I do like the diesel, but the maintenance cost and here the price of fuel is way more expensive than gasoline, theirs no advantage of keeping it at the moment.

Thanks BDinTX for the reply.

Interesting thoughts on fuel mileage. I'm finding that using manual shifting for local and especially stop and go traffic in combination with cruise control gives about mpg better in drive. They have the transmission shifting map designed to get into 7th gear as fast as possible for emissions and supposedly fuel economy. That's is destructive to this 8 speed transmission and not in the power curve of the motor. Anybody else find similar?

I can confirm that were only making 8-9 PSI of boost. Tried the Banks and the Jscan.
Could be the factory Rubicon calibration,or a small leak that is consistence leaking exactly the same way. I don't know anymore.
