I took my drivers license test in my mom's doo doo brown 1980 Pontiac LeMans Safari wagon. My dad took me to DMV for the test which I passed easily. Got my license, 16 years old, on top of the world...and my dad drives us home. I was like WTF!!!!!

She was road dirty. *gasp*
My (as of yet, unamed) Jeep stays dirty. Mostly because of lack of time or crappy weather. I need to find time to power wash the underside in preparations for the lift going on later this week, weather providing. Found time yesterday between rainstorms to mount my CoolTech CB antenna mount, cables and mic mount.

Motorcycle test was on one of these. 250cc centrifugal clutch scooter [EDIT: I think it was actually merely a 125!] - directed by a friendly police officer to head right across the street to the DMV after being stopped and warned for being unlicensed.

Proceeded to subsequently ride 180 hp 1000 cc race sport bikes without additional DMV testing. Loophole? Probably. Did require a racing license for the track of course, but don't think I would have passed the MC endorsement that first day on a real motorcycle :)
:cwl::cwl:
Truth, never admitted this to more than Frankenstein. I failed my first motorcycle test. Nerves got me. I missed it by a smidge. Retook it and got the highest score of the group. Only test I’ve ever failed. :crying:

So today, being my only day off, and the first teuely nice day all week, I decided to make some steel into something. Thanks to Mike for looking the other way while I stole his old stick welder....

All told, this rickety contraption costs me around $100. Not as nifty as some, but means more parts for my gorgeous girl!

Update on the loaner kids, they are pretty good kids considering what they've been through the last couple of months. They act like little buttheads when mom comes to visit though. I have to sometimes take control and be the Alpha to get them settled down. No concept of inside voice...yet. This is a huge challenge for me, I'm used to my peace and tranquility. The 5 year old is fun, but tests boundaries quite often, the 2 1/2 year old is still a gross little creature that deliberately tests my sanity. That said, I love that they are staying with us, but I'm exhausted. Send Monster drinks my way, coffee isn't cutting it.

Too funny dude! I know this is gonna sound stupid, but proud of you man! Not everyone goes the extra mile for stuff like this.

Oh, to piggyback on my drivers licence entry. I bought and paid for my own car, insurance and everything. Driving myself to High School, with paying riders, the whole bit. I forgot to take the trash to the dump one day, there might have been a girl involved...that I eventually married. Welp, good ole dad took my keys for 2 weeks. I protested, a lot, to no avail. Probably my first true adult lesson in responsibility.

Has your Jeep picked a gender? Helps for ideas for names.

It hasn't indicated that it prefers or identifies with a gender. I'm thinking something badass that isn't specifically gender centric. Like a Hella Yella might be called short Bus, for example. My JKR was named Wombat, a short legged, stout marsupial with a bobbed tail. Fit it to a tee.
