Similar with my parent's house. As a kid I wished we had lived in a neighborhood with other kids my age. Now as an adult, I appreciate how far out in the country it is and AWAY from crowded areas. lol.I really should have appreciated growing up when I did, or, maybe my dad should have been more forthcoming.
He "brought me to work" sometimes, before I was a teenager, and I got to watch the airshow practices from the flight line. I had no idea what I was seeing.
When we went to the actual airshow, it sucked because there were so many other people around.

I was the same way when we moved here. It was pure hell (I thought) to move way out here in the sticks (12 miles from town), go to a small high school (my graduating class was 14), with nothing to do out here. If you had asked me 8 years ago, where are you going to retire...I would have said anywhere but here. But...here I am...sitting in my Dad's house, working remote with deer eating acorns in the backyard (no seriously...)...getting things lined up to retire in 7-8 years.

Why are you coloring her hair? lolMorning everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. We have been so busy settling into our new home that I rarely have time to drop by here. Our 8 acres is amazing and the change of pace out here is a warm welcome for us. Everyone is so friendly and helpful out here. Wife snuck a picture of Callie and I watching our distant neighbors bale hay on our property. They did it free of charge since we let them keep some and left us some as well.
I finished last night around midnight. The series really deserved a third season. It wasn't bad, per se, but I could have 100% done without the entire side plot with Soren and Kwan.Oh I was wanting a third season just for the characters I liked.
