Morning All!

Last night, Monica and I decided to run to town and get the lumber we needed to Mom's deck.

As we started our efforts, a friendly Lowe's fork truck driver asked if we needed help finding stuff...then offered to pull our order together since they were not busy. They even strapped everything together and loaded it on the trailer in bundles. MAN...that was a load...

When we got home, our neighbor that runs cows on our property was there tending his cows and helped us unload the top stack with his tractor. THAT was a life saver!!! Because...of course...the wood we needed first is buried under all thta stack. It will be MUCH easier getting to what we need first now.

Anyone want to guess what I am doing this weekend?

I never played Halo, so the show was good IMHO.

But the Wheel of Time was a great read as a kid, and the show was almost nothing like it. I can see why those who know the lore and got into the books/games can be disappointed with all the "creative license" used to bring these stories to the screen.

Adaptations shouldn't stray as much from an already good thing. IMHO
The Martian was fantastic

read the book, watched the movie. Both excellent.

I was ok with the WoT show being a little different if only because thats how the whole world works. Each new turn of the wheel is a new weave of the pattern and everything is similar but different. But we havent watched all the episodes that came out just like the first season and a bit lol

they nailed the retro-futurism and that looked good, Johnny being neutered and not the "Rock Star" vibe he's supposed to have took away from that as well
Johnny isn't always that rockstar persona. In the comics he does nature quite a bit after his nephew, and niece are born.
Shalla bal, while not being the surfer, did get powers like his in one series. Earth X, I think.
I'm more irritated that they gave Franklin the power cosmic. He's "the successor of Galactus" because he'll survive through the next big bang, the same as Galactus did the last one. Not that he'd be the next world eater in their current universe.

Marvel made the MCU part of their overall multiverse. So, they get a little slack with things being different. The MCU avengers are based on the old ultimate universe anyway. Not the Maine 616 universe. Which Disney fucked up by having people in the MCU refer to it as 616, but outside of it calling it 19999. If it's going to be a different one, they shouldn't be a pussy about it.

I do wish I was though!!! I would love yo try out the 4.88s on the slick rocks.

Sadly, I have to unload the trailer before I can think about taking another Jeeping trip. They are not road warriors any longer.

Are all IT departments stupid? I have to fix mine and my coworkers computers constantly when our IT people can't figure it out.

Do you know which feature in jscan can clear it?

Google AI says "ABS Initialization" but I don't quite trust GAI just yet, and I don't want to Fubar anything at this late stage.
I can't remember offhand. I'll go check at lunch. Honestly might have just been clearing the codes and resetting all computers 2x
