Thats the entire premise of my top. I will say I've convinced others to get because we are driving through mountains and they want to look up but there's no where to stop, meanwhile they see me press a button and have a nice open view of the sky and mountains above. It's wild to me that people decide mid-drive to change top state. Like, assess at the beginning before the drive. Change state. Go.

Honestly the worst thing about NC traffic is EVERYONE just runs to the left lane and parks there. The volume of cars is whatever, but the left lane campers is what makes it so bad, then everyone is trying to pass them on the right and dealing with onramp traffic.Until you got used to it and then you hated it, because that's the universal equalizer - acclimatization.
That is one nice bit about living a fair bit off the highway, there's time between me and the interstate that I get to enjoy. 2 lane roads through farm country is always better. NC also has lots of old, less used state highways you can skirt around the interstate with. Any "Old NC Highway xx" is generally a much better drive.Your peak is definitely higher. I don't have a peak. Its the same from about 3 minutes out of my driveway, till 1 minute before i pull into the parking lot at work. And yes, Buccees definitely makes it worse.
That's a lot of what we're going through tbh. That low 100k section of interstate is 2 lanes each direction. TWO. They're FINALLY adding a third lane and are looking to be done this year I think. That's how Austin is. Roadway built for 10k people, population of 1 million
Im not even saying in one of the quadrants of DC, go to Alexandria, Manassas, Rockville, Gaithersburg at any time of the day and shits turribleworse than DFW, RTP and Charlotte/Kannapolis all at once. I refuse to drive in DC.... I just park at the hotel and take the train the rest of the way.
And they'll pass on the right when there's a completely open left laneHonestly the worst thing about NC traffic is EVERYONE just runs to the left lane and parks there. That’s what I liked about the sunrider part of a bestop top.Thats the entire premise of my top. My statement remains the same. lolIm not even saying in one of the quadrants of DC, go to Alexandria, Manassas, Rockville, Gaithersburg at any time of the day and shits turrible
The thing is there is no completely open left lane in the entire state of NC. I was coming back from FL one trip and driving through SC right before the border and AS SOON as we got to the Grover exit on 85 the left lane was full after 7hrs of it being clear or used for passing. And they'll pass on the right when there's a completely open left lane
Well I'm speaking as a right lane camper. When there's multiple left lanes they all count as "left".The thing is there is no completely open left lane in the entire state of NC.
