Farmer friend knew where the fibre line coming into his farm was, and had a backhoe in to correct a broken connection in his drainage. Figured he’d hand dig the area close to the fibre.

The backhoe found it. :surprised:

Luckily, didn’t catch it, just revealed it as the earth gave way. Could have been an expensive day....
:surprised: Fiber optic cable can get pretty expensive! Thats at least $1200 for a splice, and close to $2 per foot if you have to replace the cable... Depending on how long the cable is that can rack up pretty quickly.

I love my DeWalt drill! :involve:
So do I! I have a corded drill...good for the two or three times a year I have to bust it out. (I anticipate this will increase drastically when I get my own house/condo.) DeWalt stuff will last forever though.

This was actually going to be my next question...what's a good impact gun to get? Also, damn, $350 :surprised::piggybank:
What I know for sure is that it needs plenty of torque. 450ft/lbs don't cut it. That's what my original impact wrenches are. I got a second one from my brother when he passed, and it turned out to be identical to the one I already had. oh well.
