Farmer friend knew where the fibre line coming into his farm was, and had a backhoe in to correct a broken connection in his drainage. Figured he’d hand dig the area close to the fibre. They've gotta locate all of the buried utilities before digging, so thats probably what the paint marks were. Wouldn't want to cut into a gas line and then cut an electrical conduit right after...

Yep. It's actually from his solo tour back in May. Not going to post it here though because it's not my pic to share.![]()
Seriously?!?!
There was a worker up in Ft Myers that found a gas line with a backhoe and sadly it didn’t end well for him. He had third degree burns and later died. Messing with gas lines is bad jujuFarmer friend knew where the fibre line coming into his farm was, and had a backhoe in to correct a broken connection in his drainage. The backhoe found it.
Luckily, didn’t catch it, just revealed it as the earth gave way. Could have been an expensive day....

One of my old summer jobs hit a 12" gas main. No explosion (VERY LUCKY), but we had to tell people in a 1 mile radius to shut off their cars, AC, and anything else that could make a spark. Took 12 hours for the line to drain out and the "cloud" to dissipate, even after Dominion shut off the gas. There was a worker up in Ft Myers that found a gas line with a backhoe and sadly it didn’t end well for him. Oh yeah, Verizon fiber lines are a pretty penny to fix...Farmer friend knew where the fibre line coming into his farm was, and had a backhoe in to correct a broken connection in his drainage. Figured he’d hand dig the area close to the fibre.

No, I understand that..but holy hell...how cool!!!Yep. It's actually from his solo tour back in May. Not going to post it here though because it's not my pic to share.
How dare he! I bet he doesn’t even know how to use it!Doin ok bro. Gonna open up the paint package and see what the constructions say.
Some fellow Jeeper stopped by last night and stole my damn welder! JK, I gave it to him. I know he can put it to some use while for me it was just gathering dust. One of those family items that you take figuring you'll use it some day.

Yep...I've said it before, but I am lucky enough to have two very cool parents. No, I understand that..but holy hell...how cool!!!

I should get me an impact wrench...
Actually they do make some nice airless ones. Thanks tragic. No one should not come home from a day at work. There was a worker up in Ft Myers that found a gas line with a backhoe and sadly it didn’t end well for him. He had third degree burns and later died. Messing with gas lines is bad juju
And lemme guess, you have one that I can pick up for a nominal price...Actually they do make some nice airless ones.

Glad you made it through safely...One of my old summer jobs hit a 12" gas main.
