Hello everyone, im looking for a jerry can mount that sits flush with the gate and that does not sit outward , facing forward, i have removed my spare and installed a spare delete, so i have a nice clean area, I know there are many mounts out there, but i am trying to be below $100, or what i would really like is a roof rack jerry mount that lays flat, flush and not standing up , but will it leak/spill if there is fuel/diesel in it ?

Thanks for you input

I personally have never transported a Jerry can on its side or seen anyone do that. A quick search suggests a high-quality, milspec NATO can can be transported on its side assuming it is well maintained and not too full (has room for heat expansion), but knockoffs are prone to leaking.

Your budget is probably too low. The last time I looked at generic, non-Jeep-specific Jerry can mounts, I commonly saw them in the $70-150 range. Jeep-specific ones were more. At your budget, your best bet is to get whatever’s cheapest off Amazon and find a way to mount it to your spare tire delete.
