New guy joined the bead lock thread and is dusting up the rest of us. At least now I know I am an idiot for not running bead locks and using street-rated load range C tires instead of proper bead locks and load range E for rocky trails. Last time I had E's, I vowed never again, as they were too darn rough a ride and the sidewalls didn't want to flex. Should've kept those high-range tires from the 18-wheelers, I guess.

This post tells you everything you need to know about that guy.

Mornin folks. Pretty good weekend, got the flare install project started. Little frustrated with the instructions with the MetalCloak liners. They require holes be drilled in the wheel well pinch seam to get some bolts into them, which is fine, but they don't actually state you have to drill these holes. They just say they include some template plates for use with non-MC fenders. Took like 45 minutes of dicking around to realize they mean to drill. Once that was sorted they went in easy. The RC flares went on super easy. Only got the back done cause I was only able to squeeze in work for a half day this weekend. Gonna try and pick at taking the fronts apart during the week and hit them this weekend for some Father's Day project time.

They do love having you drill your Jeep.

Anyway, happy Father's Day. 🍻

He's been "drilling" his Jeep long before MC told him to.
