Well, I went against everyone's recommendation and ordered the Ace trail doors. I'll post up pictures when I finally get them, hoping in 2 weeks!

Everyone’s recommendations? Ace makes quality stuff. Seen those doors on a JK and they look awesome.

Getting close...

Spoke with someone at the dealership today and they think that *maybe* my red JL will arrive either late this Saturday or maybe Monday...

Or, as my luck would have it, it will be late next Saturday as I'm waiting to get on a plane for a month in the UK and Ireland. Oh well, if that's the case, then it surely will be there for me when I get back and I can pick it up before heading out to Honduras a week later. If the dealerships had just had the manual 2-door models to look at and test drive sooner, I could have ordered sooner. I didn't want to spend nearly $30K on something and not have seen it in person and test drove it first.

I used a heat gun on the first 2 letters and then decided I didn’t need it. The letters pulled off really easy without the gun. It did take some elbow grease, Goo Gone and Meguiars Cleaner Wax to get off the residue.

It showed up on dealer website as on Dealer lot this morning. My sales guy wasn’t there and couldn’t get an answer over phone. Went to dealer and they pulled it up. Told me it could be tomorrow or as late as next Friday. Would like to drive it a few days before I head to Canada for a week.

Just picked her up from DeMontrond in Conroe, and brought her home to San Antonio. Seven hour round trip but it was worth it. It's the wife's new car. When I pulled into the garage, she said "I don't like the hubcaps" . I guess it's time to go wheel shopping.
