The 3.9 was the previous gen of Chrysler V6 though. Production on that beast started in the late 80's.The only thing I did with my 3.9 was change the oil, and then the power steering pump when it went out at around 150k on the odometer. Getting rear ended was what killed that truck. The fuel filter got knocked loose and suddenly 170k miles worth of gas gunk had free access to the fuel system.![]()
