we all find it mildly entertaining on Sundays if its my dad's turn for scripture reading... He's recently had cataract surgery himself so he doesn't need glasses for normal functions like he has his whole life. He'll get up front, then remember to put on his reading glasses and then has to find the right distance to hold the bible before he can actually read it... meanwhile my whole family is trying not to snicker too loud during this whole process.
No, he's trying to retire before 40 because he hates his job. He's on track too. Just lives a very simple lifestyle - no fancy Jeeps, toys, etc. All by choice; I'm actually proud of him for it.
