not being plumb will throw the dead bolt / strike plate off line .

grab the door by the lockset firmly and shake the door to see if its loose ( If so then the hinge screws are loose and need to be tightened - In that case I usually take the middle screw out and replace with a 1.5" screw for more bite )

If the hinge screws seam tight that the door jamb may be out of plumb ( depending on how far out of plumb it is you can either adjust the strike plate or ....remove and replace the door frame so that it's plumb again

I just checked it Mr Dan. The door checks level/plumb and tight. I think they just managed to build it poorly. The two strikers are just a tad too high in relation to the door. What I did was to remove the 4 screws from the lower hinge and put a shim behind it and then screwed it back to the jam. It was enuf to bring the bottom left of the door up. Not pretty but not horrible either. Now I can easily extend the deadbolt into the striker.

So I can’t make this shit up! I went to install the sliders and as I took them out, after traveling thirty miles away to have my brother help me, we realized they sent me two passenger side rails. Not super happy right now.

omg, I wondered about that when I got the boxes but I have one of each. Did you ever send them back to ACE or do you still have the first gen squeeky sliders?

Have you contemplated getting Mopar splash guards? I think those, in combination with the side steps, will prevent a lot of chips. We took Blanche down a gravel road with no chips yet!

Hadn’t thought about them yet, but I will now! There’s no way for me to escape being on gravel regularly so I need to do whatever I can!

Quadratech has Mopar touch up paint. I’m sure other sites do, too. I’m going to ask my dealer, in hopes that it’s a freebie. If not I’ll at least have the price knowledge in my back pocket.
