I was skiing the day John Candy died. I found out by reading about it on the chalkboard at the chair lift. It’s the first celebrity death I clearly remember. (And while the above sounds like a ridiculous Canadian joke, it’s actually the truth.)

I was bummed about John Candy, but it was Phil Hartman a couple years later that kinda shook me - maybe because how he was killed ... still pissed about it, loved his SNL Bill Clinton.

I loved Candy, too and remember being quite sad when I heard of his death. "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" is one of my favorite comedies. Gordon Lightfoot was left off the list. He played Stagecoach in Palm Springs this past April. I really wanted to go see him but the rest of the lineup wasn't to my taste.

Hahaa!! I succeeded at an entire bag going out.
(Partly because I was motivated by fitting the items I bought yesterday into the closet without hubby noticing.... I could have bought some nice parts for what I managed to spend at a coffee house pop up shop... Because she doesn’t exist yet, Gamora has no opinion, but My Girl is looking at me disapprovingly.

It’s not my fault that I have a wedding and a gala to attend in August. I NEEDED another LBD....

Oh don’t you worry!!! Gamora will tell you the truth....that you deserve it. Allllll of it!

I love books too, I have a ton myself. I don't like to read on an electronic device, I need to hold the book in my hand and physically turn the pages..not to mention..I'm getting old...the screens kill my eyes after a while.

I need the physical book every time I re-read my favorite, Pride & Prejudice.
