At least you got to talk to someone. I am sure it's easy for sales people to forget that while it is just another Jeep order for them, this could be one of the biggest events in our lives. Many of us have waited decades to afford this purchase. I have seen how easy it is for a dealer to sit at the desk and punch up a few numbers and see the order progress, then drop a few word text... the end. Everyone is happy. Matt from Dirt Road Cred seems like a genuine person and that will make his channel a success. Here's to hoping we all get our Jeeps, they are amazing, and Matt finds success with his channel.
Thanks for such kind words, you guys really don’t understand how nice it is to read this type of post. Believe it or not there Is a lot of criticism and negativity that I read through on a daily basis both on my channel and on various outlets. It’s nice to read this, and the positivity Is what keeps us going!

From being on this thread all the time. Outside of manual transmissions. There is no common theme lol. We are all just stuck.
Agree. I got my 2015 willys in 6 weeks, seems I got lucky back then. I can't make head or tails out of how things are going other then 4xEs seem to be priority probably because of CAFE standards. I'm reading about the 2024-2026 goals.... I don't understand it but I can only toss my two pennies into the well and assume.

Hey Matt! I don’t know if you worked some magic and gave you know who a shout or just word of mouth but they actually contacted me this morning…

She said my file somehow got crossed with another salesperson that doesn’t work there anymore and that’s why there hasn’t been any response form them. I’ll take that on face value from them.

Everyone else that’s following along, after a chat with management here’s where we landed. They gave me my deposit back but I was able to keep the order. We’re all scratching our head… the dealer swears the order is good… Jeep Cares said it was cancelled… who the heck knows!

I haven’t flat out bad mouthed Dan Cummins because I know none of this is directly their fault. Once an order goes in the computer it’s out of everyone’s hands… I was slightly irritated that I couldn’t get in contact with anyone but they offered an explanation and we got that resolved!

As of now… I still have my Dan Cummins order we placed back on Launch Month in March that’s in C/D status waiting for D1 going on 140 days now and a new order I placed with a closer dealer on 8/4 that is also in C/D status waiting for D1 now after 3 days…

So we shall see! I’ve tried to be transparent and honest and say I have had a good experience with the PEOPLE at Dan Cummins, especially after today they were at least willing to refund my deposit since something screwy seems to be going on but I’ve tried to remind people, these orders aren’t the fault of the sales person or the dealership once they go in the computer… so we’ll see what happens! If the newer order shows up first; then we know something weird happened on Jeeps end…

If the Dan Cummins order goes D1 and gets built I’d still love to give them my business. Heck I’ve waited 130 days just for D1 before opening a case with Jeep Cares because I’d like to buy a Jeep from them and stand by them… I like to support DRC as I love their content and my experience with the sales person was fantastic until this whatever happened that isn’t directly her or anyone else at the dealerships fault. We’ll see what happens!

This will be an interesting experiment now… we have an order places right around launch day and a second one 5 months later for a pretty standard build… just a 3.6 A/T RubiconX with One Touch…. The race is on ?
Andrew! I’m glad this all got taken care of! To most people’s surprise I do check all social outlets and make sure if I can help I can. There’s a lot of good things coming in the future!

I ordered on June 17 (2D Rubicon with the V6 and automatic transmission) and am also still sitting at C-confirmed. I had heard it could be 2-4 months to get, so I guess I am still in the window. :headbang:
Friend, I will take that 4 months. I spent about 100 days at C/D and am close to 30 days at D1 (V6 auto Rubicon X). Some here have endured much longer.

A possible UAW strike is the wild card. At this juncture I should just pray for Halloween.

the dual top group has a bag for the freedom panels but not for the soft top windows.
If today's plastic windows are anything close to what was around in the 2013 JKUR's, don't EVER roll up the plastic windows. During one of my trips up to Sedona, I thought it would be nice to roll up the back plastic window while out on the trails. Bad, bad idea. Between the dust that got in there and the rocking motion, it acted light sand paper on the plastic and left permanent scratches on the plastic where it rubbed. That trip has a lot to do with why I won't own a soft top again.

I recently watched around 4 or 5 of your MY 2024 Rubicon videos. I really like how you come across them. If you ever make it out to the Scottsdale area, first beer is on me.

Hopefully a 2024 wrangler
After 13 days in production the tracker just updated to built. Estimated arrival date was pushed from 8/25 to 9/4 with this update.

@USNvet did yours update? Our situation sounded similar

.... and one more step ahead! Today is exactly 3 weeks from my order date.

My jeep.com tracker has not changed since Aug 9, and I just got a text from my sales rep to say it arrived at the dealership!

Jul 20 to Aug 16, 27 days total from ordered to delivered at the dealer. YMMV.

I bought the mopar soft top window bag and it works great. I don’t role the rear window either. I had the wear that you described on my JKU.

My status has updated to shipped. The dealer updated me on Monday that it was loaded on a rail car, and it's heading to El Mirage, AZ, to the BNSF Auto distribution center. It's scheduled to arrive there on August 25th. Then another 3 to 10 days to get to the dealership in Scottsdale. Estimated arrival is now September 5th.

So close... I want it before the labor day holiday!

I love how they specifically rain on folks who have vehicles on order ?

Perhaps our best hope is that the strike target won't be Stellantis. I do have some worries about build quality during this period, should a strike materialize.
I thought the theatrics of the UAW guy was a bit much. All in all, I've seen unions at various different industries I've worked in, never as a member but as a non-union worker, or as an executive that had union workers in their staff. As much as it can be said that executive management may be unfair to workers and providing fair compensation, I've seen union board members totally screw over younger, less tenured union members. I've seen them vote for agreements that increase their own wages vastly disproportionately over the younger members. In my opinion there's not much difference in the way bad executive management and senior union leadership treat the average union or non-union worker. Different sides of the same coin IMHO.

Expecting to get a 40% increase seems a bit out of touch and grand standing at the outset of negotiations. My guess is they won't get anywhere near that. My experience with unions that went on strike is they cost their members enough money that it took multiple years with any increase to recoup what they got. I've seen other strikers walk back on the job after 4 months with no concessions from management. It was a true waste of time and money for the union members.

In general I think unions have lost their way as much or more than executive management. I'm willing to negotiate my own deal personally and live with the consequences rather than live under union rule.

Either way, follow the money and that will tell you the true story on both the executive management and union leadership.

In hindsight that makes sense. But, what if i bailed on the order and a bought from another dealer? Thats a missed sale for them.

I dont get it. Me and @84jeepjohn both ordered 392's from Granger as well and went D1 the same date as you i believe. But, we missed the in production date and regressed to D.
Now I did add half doors which may slow mine down. But I agree I'm just treading water.

Also if i were to bail on my Granger order, they will just sell it at MSRP and make a bundle of money cause the jeep was bought at 7% below invoice. So I can totally see why they would sell on the lot for more. it makes them way more money (but they do have the overhead until it sells).

Am now have dreams every night about my dealer contacting me and saying my Jeep is there, and I drive to the dealership and find out that either 1). It’s actually there and wonderful or 2). They confused mine with someone else’s and I leave in complete sadness.

I cant handle this mental stress for much longer lol.
Yeah having option two happen really sucked.
