I don't qualify at all. My "oldest" Jeep was 4 years. Should I be ashamed? Do I have to stand in the corner?
Probably for the best...you live in Vermont.

All I know is that 6 years of NY/NJ winters meant that when I did the shocks on my WJ, life was pain. I think the suspension is all fused together in one hunk of rust now.

Thanks... it breaks your heart and makes you question what you thought you knew about about the people around you.

I’ve moved on from the incoherent rage of last night (not helped by a friend who sent me a laughing text), but I’m still in disbelief.
wow... not much of a friend. I mean its one thing to disagree politically but to openly brag about it to someone is just rude.

It really set my opinion of everyone I hadn't met into a tailspin. What was/is worse is the family members who voted that way.

I find it's best at gatherings to keep politics out of the conversation completely - just enjoy the day for what it is. (I will be doing that over the 4th of July weekend at a cookout in PA)

In the meantime, be vocal - call out what you see as wrong every time you see it. Back up your claims with facts. And vote.

You mean you didn't keep your first CJ-5 for 35 years?
I'm a newbie. Only had the 2011 JK to start into the wild and whacky world that is Jeep. I still carry my blankie during all road trips in Wrikki. :) I've misplaced my binkie, otherwise I'd have that along too.

Reading up on this, is the Premier directly elected or is it based on Provencal Parliament seats? I'm still pretty unfamiliar with how Canadian government works.
In our system, each party has a leader. If that party wins the most seats, they form the government. So the leader of the winning party becomes premier. Each leader has their own riding, and runs for their own seat, so technically, you could have a party win the most seats, be asked to form the government, but the leader didn’t win their own seat in the legislature. Never happens, though, because the leaders have such a high profile that they are always elected in their riding.

So Canadians don’t directly elect their premiers or prime ministers.

lol, well you had an earlier start than I did. I had only test driven one Wrangler about 5 years ago, but wound up buying a Ram. Before that I had only seriously looked at Cherokees and one Commander.

well... That adds to the stress of voting. On the one hand you could have a good solid candidate for a Parliament seat but on the other the leader of their party is garbage... That's a hell of a conundrum.

Are those yield signs?
Yes, but Car 1 should have a stop sign. The engineer that designed that intersection should get fired.
In the picture, only Car #1 has a yield sign. A stop sign would be better, but a yield would have the same effect. Cars 2 & 3 have advisory signs warning them of traffic from #1's street, but no yields.

Definitely an antiquated style of traffic engineering, but it *technically* works.

The correct answer would be #2 (right turn has right of way over a left if you arrive at the intersection at the same time), then #3, and finally, #1, since they have to yield to #2 and #3. This of course assumes everyone got there at the same time.

Insert Frankenstein: no driving of Jeeps in the winter.
