I have seen a few posts where folks are saying they are having rocks thrown onto their hinges and flares. Just wondering if this is a 4-door problem only or both. Now, I am not asking if you have had any rock chips yet...but more what is the pattern of splatter when you have driven in the rain or through a possible muddy area or gravel road.

I haven’t driven in a lot of rain or on many non-paved roads yet. I’ve heard a few pings here & there, but nothing major. It’s the nature of the beast that is a Wrangler!
Understand...I had thought about getting some 3m protection film for the sides but wasn't sure if it was absolutely necessary. I want to keep my JL looking as new as possible for as long as possible...
