That seems to happen regardless of the application. Which is why engineers should just be in charge of everything.

My thoughts exactly. At the very least I can hopefully express to them, in a calm and collected manner, just how frustrated I am.

That's pretty much the only thing keeping me from pulling the plug on the JL entirely.

Case in point, the last time that happened we developed a space program and put a man on the moon inside of a decade...just sayin'.

yes! its really sad that NASA stagnated after the space shuttle was developed and then congress got involved.

Congress is loath to spend money without a tangible return inside their term limits. Thus, NASA's funding is always on the chopping block. At the peak of the space race, NASA was getting only 4% of the federal budget. The return on investment to the economy (long term) has been quoted at $8 for every dollar spent.

NASA is basically the USA's R&D department outside of the military.
